In all the years we’ve been together 
Through clear and stormy weather 
One constant has been true
I love you

I haven’t said it often
But it’s felt deep in my heart 
I’ll take the blame for this one
It’s not too late to start

The past few years have been for me
A brutal look at life
I’m a shadow of I once was
Struggling through the pain and strife

With the time I have remaining
With my future quite unclear
My apology for complaining 
I’ve feared the end was near

I so grateful to have you
You’ve been there at my worst
I’ve rarely expressed my love for you
That was a thoughtless choice

I’ve fought to be strong the times
Going through painful days
And through it all you’ve stood by me
Despite my angry ways

I don’t know what the future holds
Or how long I’ll be here
But with my heartfelt love for you
I’m blessed to have you near
