The naysayers are out in force 
Attacking my will to push on
They haven’t stopped me yet
I’ll continue till I’ve won

Time and again - over the years 
They’ve  continued their campaign
To flood me with discouragement
An attempt to twist my  brain

I tell them as I did before 
“Your scheme will never work”
My mind is set- I need  to get 
On that path where I will score

Discouragemen’s an obstacle
That can really drive you crazy 
It well might  work  on others
But I’m neither weak or lazy

Following my dream is motivating energy
It pushes when I’m down- directs me toward my goal
Erases that great frown-  I’m then one happy soul
