There, I'll say it. I'm defeated.

You can have your way.

Tear me to pieces,

Hang me on the chains.

I cannot keep on fighting,

When the battle has been lost.

I cannot hold my head up,

For I have paid too high a cost.

Take me into bondage,

Lock me away from all I know.

Feed me from the gutters

And leave me laying in the snow.

Tell me, as you cut me,

Was it worth the price?

Just lay me in the garden,

And leave the bloody knife.

My war is over, my battle now done.

Kill me if you want to, I don't intend to run.

Tired and weary from the war that I have waged,

My soul is lost, there is no fire left in my gaze.

So let this be the end, grant me eternal sleep.

Let me fade into history, as I accept defeat.

  • How soul is defeated in eternal sleep? What you expect suffering in the gutter and cutting in the garden! Hellenism or hellenic suffering is imaginary only, but penance is potion to cure fallen soul.
