True Story My Dad Went Through 

  It all started when I'd worked all night at my job leaving to get on my way home the next morning around 10 a.m. and I was on my way home when I saw a guy from the back walking, but I'd never picked up hitchhikers from a bad experience (that will be in a different book)but something compelled me to stop and pick the guy up, so I did. I was watching him whilst I was waiting for him to get into the car, but when he got into my car it was the most horrific human being I had ever seen, but he ended up being the nicest gentlemen ever. So when he got in the car, I jumped out of fear. The man that had gotten into the car had looked just like elephant man, but after that he apologized and said he gets that reaction a lot. When I asked him what was going on he told me his story and it made me burst into tears and cry cry. The man had a bone disease in his skull that makes his skull grow until he dies, when I met him he said he had a year left at best. He told me how his wife divorced him and his kids ran away from him and called him a monster. After a while they had enough and gotten a divorce and his wife took the kids and 2 years later she invited him to her wedding. When the wedding was over he hugged her, shook her new husband's hand and started walking and never stopped. When I picked him up he had already walked through 2 or 3 states. He said he found this girl on the internet and stopped at every library to get on the computer and talk to her. She didn't know what he looked like, but she said she didn't care what he looked like she would still love him. People have offered him money while he was on his way to meet her, but he declined because he had money, and cars, and a house, but he wanted to walk. When I offered to take him all the way there, he declined and said to take him to the next library. When I dropped him off I got out of the car and hugged him. To this day I will never know what happened when he got to her house.
