I lay in the grass and stare at the stars. The same stars you're staring at even though we're a thousand miles apart and I think about the day when there won't be any distance between us. We'll lay side by side and stare at the stars together.
It's cold outside. I wish you were here to keep me warm. I wish you were here to hug me and tell me you love me when I can actually see and hear you. Phone calls aren't enough.... Texting's not enough.... I just want you here with me. That's all I ever want.
I want to be able to talk to you without a screen in between us. I want to be able to hug you whenever I feel sad and I want you to hold me and tell me everything's going to be okay.
But until the day we can stare at the stars together. Just knowing you love me and that your trying to make our relationship work is enough.
