The tree is up and shining with lights
Baubles glisten , its sheer delights! 
But what of those with less then me? 
They awake at Christmas to a baron tree 

No presents sparkling nor fire alight 
No Christmas lunch ,not even a bite 
So as I sit and think how lucky I am 
I spare a thought for for all unfortunate man 

 How can I help? I always think?
I donate a few bits in the food bank ! 
It helps those less fortunate then I  
Extra tins, toys and chocolates I buy 
 
So Christmas to me is always a time 
To be grateful for the love of this family of mine 
To be mindful that not all of us are as lucky as me 
That it’s not just what’s under the tree 
But the people who surround me ❤️
