We saw but we didn't acknowledge 
We pended the thoughts, thinking they'd get lost but only to find their way back 

I reached out and got my heart broken instead, only to have you coming back and leaving me confused

And here you are, still in my life
And here I am tolerating it all 
And here we are trying to acknowledge something that shouldn't have been done, long ago.
