I once knew a girl 
So quiet and sweet
You couldn't even tell
She was facing her defeat 

The world is a cruel place
Not giving her a fair hand
Taking her cheerful soul
Left only smiling on command 

Her fierce loving heart
She painfully left behind
Running from her demons
As all of the voice loudly combine

She wants to break free
From the darkness inside
To be herself again
No longer confined
