The hammer drops

It strikes the pin

Black powder ignites

The process begins

The bullet travels

down the barrel

Exits the muzzle

Straight as an arrow

The world turns red

And he wants to end it

The demons win

And he makes an exit

In his head

Constant conflict

He's unaware

The pain he inflicts

Hit rewind

He holds the gun

This will be better

For everyone

The voice in his head

Screams to stop

In the mirror

The tears, they drop

But the trigger

He cannot pull

There's still some hope

In a world gone cold
