When the orange hue of autumn ends
It’s a frosty chill that winter sends
I wrap up warm in woolly overtones
To protect my poor fibro winter bones

The cold wind howls around my face
My hair, my scarf and hands displace
My hands, my elbows and ankles moan
I try to protect my fibro winter bones

It’s no good for me to not wrap up
I’d shake , go stuff and moan a lot
I need the warmth of fire tones
To help soothe my fibro bones

When I get home and crank up the heat
It helps to defrost my hurting feet
My joints and my muscles start to moan
I have to warm up my fibro bones
