It is dedicated excitement 
A never ending drive
It can include so many things
With joy for being alive

Waking up each morning 
Anxious to pursue the day
To continue with my writing 
That’s all I need for pay

The high comes from the challenge 
Of writing my thoughts down 
When I read what I’ve written -
 I never have a frown

My goal has been completed 
There’s a secondary perk
If others enjoy my written words 
It never feels like work
