Words just don’t fall out of the sky
They don’t settle to the ground like the leaves in fall
They don’t fall into place for us to read them all

Whether a nursery rhyme or an Odessa 
Whether it projects grandeur or modesty 
The common link is creativity
And the motivation - honesty 

It’s an effort of the mind
That puts our thoughts together 
We transfer them from there 
And there they live forever 

If it give you satisfaction
That’s the best reaction
If others wish to read it
That’s all you really needed 

To some it’s just s toy
There’s nothing wrong with that
For most of us who write 
It’s blessed and lifelong joy
