James and kana bumbled hurriedly down the stairs shoving each other playfully more like cubs then two nearly adults. They grabbed fruit as they passed through the kitchen and stright outside feeling slightly more energetic then usual. "Kanaaaa" called a light voice with a slight English accent "don't leave without your gear" said Jane jogging up behind them immediately out of breath "you don't wanna get yelled at by your teachers" she smiled handing kana the bag and fell on her face with an unnatural amount of force as if push from behind "I'm okay" she stood tripping twice before reaching the house three feet away
"that woman could trip laying on her back" said James who often heard her falling out of bed although his dad slept holding her in place, kana doodled a ghost on her tablet "I know she said she was haunted but I don't see how someone that nice would be haunted unless the ghost is just a jerk" shrugged james. kana gave him one of her looks pointing to his eyes "yeah yeah" James put on his shades and climbed in the back seat where he was less likely to be overwhelmed by heavy stimulus. "We should get movies" he said flopping down and pulling out his phone so kana could text it, kana started the mustang and sped out of the driveway "anything with jet-li" she sent back. They pulled into the lot of the first gas station where Kana grabbed her purse and went for her usual energy drink she convinced them to sell her in bulk, the thought often intrigued James since she didn't text or speak to others the way she did James
"Oh look Ingenuity at work" he smiled watching her her gesture at the cashier who was obviously new... and aggrivated. Slipping the extra set of keys in his pocket James strolled across the street packed with tourist on there way to see the Crack in the sky, James always visited the novelty shop for mask and puppets. He always enjoyed working the strings of a new puppet he never did it outside his room but he enjoyed it all the same "hey James" called the reason he first started coming in the store "hey linda" he smiled "watch'a got for me"
"Well" she smirked "since you ask sooo nicely " she reached up without looking and pulled a small box off the shelf "some creepy old person left this by the door and my aunts to paranoid to sell it" she explained popping it open. Inside the small wooden box was velvet lining, laying on that was a small red tin man with a smoky black sphere for a head leaning back on a pair of red metal studded gloves "I'll take it" he said with out the slightest bit of hesitation. Linda wrapped it with a wink and sent him on his way.
