it took me a while but I just realized,
what I'm doing now is much worse than my past mistake

I know that I'm drowning in sadness and my loneliness won't let me escape

yet being with you wont save me from any of this, not even in a heartbeat

because all of this is made up of lies that you're the one that's bringing back the heat

a lie I made to fight the pain and stop these tears

because I'm out of strength to fight all of these fears
