Let the wind fill your sails,

Take you away from this hell.

Feel a teardrop touch my eye,

As I stand here waving goodbye.

The sadness has but one true form,

And I wear it around like a suit of thorns.

You disappear in the distance,

The last of you I got to witness.

In the quiet all alone,

I face the shambles of an empty home.

And as the sun begins to set,

I lay down to forever rest.
