Rachel Maddow's Russian Connection expose on tonight's show (March 8, 2017) is quite disturbing.

One of her probes deals with the systematic weakening of our State Department under the Trump administration. The number of tenured State Dept officials, those who served under as many as six presidents, that were fired and not replaced was discussed. State is our primary non-military diplomatic force to maintain our alliances and start new ones. 

Without a doubt, Russia benefits if our alliances weaken. Without a doubt, America loses.

As mentioned, the weakening of the State Department was just one element of her expose that should not be missed.  Too many things in too many areas are happening vis-a-vis the Russian connection that we cannot remain unaware.
