When words come to life 
In structure and form
Another expression has been creatively
born

It can carry with it an incredible impact 
Or simple humor based on fiction or fact
The is true of other writing as well
but l single out poetry as you can tell

It is for  the most exciting - both resding and writing 
Through the centuries it has helped shape 
history 
Influenced the powerful - comforted and
 instigated it’s readers and leaders 

The variety of reactions can fill a book 
Study the reader’s faces see how they look 
It can take you anywhere at any time with anyone 
And yet your still  not done 
As you turn each page you will later gage 
the effect of your experience 
In may have none  but may turn on a guide to your deliverance 

Sometimes just a few words capture meanings so poetic
Other times an epic work can make the readerfeel prophetic 

The ability we all have is a gift 
We may never write a masterpiece but we 
can read them
 But the process can give us an incredible 
lift 
Which can help our lives make a positive 
shift
