In the ashes of depression There burns a hidden spark
At times we cannot feel it
Our minds just see the dark 

But it’s there with us for forever
You have to work to make it show 
Just never say NEVER 
That spark can start to glow 

As part of the human spirit 
There’s an element called hope 
That glow can start a fire 
When you’re at the end of life’s rope

From there you make a breakthrough 
That used to hold you back 
Keep that hope strong in your heart 
You can reach the happy track
