Fair slender queen how bright you burn
In darkness' kingdom so dreary,
Your golden flame spreads soothing light
You melt but never seem weary.
Hallowed presence at sacred places,
Crown of a creamy birthday cake,
Adorning a wedding hall you bring
A blessing for the couple's sake.
Every traveller in life's long journey
Your holy light desperately craves,
Lead to afterlife the departed
You illuminate their forlorn graves.
O holy flame let me partake
A part of your serene light,
Help me transcend the human frame
Bless me with a wonderful sight.
