The late summer sunrise highlights the falling leaves as they flutter down from the trees like dying butterfliesSignaling the change of seasons -they rest on the groundA vision of nature’s multicolored carpetThat only she can createThe cycle of seasons continues itspredictable journey as it has done since the first sunset kissed the earthIt is a fine time for reflection basking in the comfort of this picture book settingA rare and welcomed opportunity to pause and soak in the beauty that surrounds us but is too often ignored by the urgency of daily issuesThe result of this unexpected experience has left me both energized and relaxedAn intriguing combination of Nature’sversion of “hide in plain sight”With this opportunity always accessibleperhaps more awareness on my partwould give each day a better start
