The late summer sunrise highlights the falling leaves as they flutter down from the trees like dying butterflies

Signaling the change of seasons -they rest on the ground
A vision of nature’s multicolored carpet
That only she can create

The cycle of seasons continues its
predictable journey as it has done since the first sunset kissed the earth

It is a fine time for reflection basking in the comfort of this picture book setting
A rare and welcomed opportunity to pause and soak in the beauty that surrounds  us but is too often ignored by the urgency of daily issues

The result of this unexpected experience has left me both energized and relaxed
An intriguing combination of Nature’s
version of “hide in plain sight”

With this opportunity always accessible
perhaps more awareness on my part
would give each day a better start
