Once a sweet refrain in the distance 
Short-lived and hidden within 
Never loosing it’s persistence 
I hear It once again 

Now it’s getter louder an unavoidable 
tune
The words are recognizable -
“It will be over soon “

My fight’s been long and hard 
I’ve given it my all
I have so little left
 I’m ready for the fall

My thoughts are bittersweet 
I’ve lived a good full life 
It’s one that was complete 
Until this current strife 

I’m ready if I must take my last life’s 
breath 
To find eternal peace and greet the ones I’ve lost
To hear the last refrain-
The reality of death
