Congressional Double Speak Read Count : 167

The more these congressional twits talk, the more they twist the reigns of logic. Senator James Lankford R-OK, a member of the Senate Intelligence committee, was interviewed by Judy Woodruff on PBS News Hour.

She asked him about the Senate's Intelligence Committee progress into the Russian election interference probe. He told her that they have gotten all their called witnesses to appear, that the interviews are classified so nothing gets leaked and that the committee will unveil their findings when everything is heard and considered. OK, sounds reasonable.

She then asks, him if he felt it would be helpful for the committee to review Trump's tax returns to get an understanding of any possible business connections with Russia.

Lankford answers that this is an accusation that has been sitting out there for some time but has no validity. No one has been able to point to anything specific on this mattter. WHAT???? And if that information was revealed to the closed Committee, it might get leaked for partisan purposes. WHAT????

Maybe because no one has eyeballed the tax returns is why there are no specifics. And he said earlier that the closed investigation of the Intelligence Committee ensures confidentially. Sounds like double speak bull #@%$ to me. The Committee could see the tax returns to verify no Russian connections and not release the details. At least they would know the true story on this important question. Can't believe Lankford would be giving Clinton the same consideration. No, I know he would not. Typical party partisan game playing over a crucial matter of national security importance. Sad! Lankford, you and those on the Committee who are not pushing full bore to uncover the facts are traitors to this nation. How dare you claim to have America's best interests at heart?
