                  Such is Life 
No one on this journey 
Travels a perfect road ahead 
That’s a dream or fantasy 
When you’re fast asleep in bed

It was never built to be that way 
We were created to face life’s threats
Overcoming the bumps in the road 
Allows us to appreciate the best

Though the challenges we face may be different 
Rest assured they really exist 
If you haven’t already encountered one
Be ready- be strong too persist 

The more detours you overcome 
The sweeter the straight road prize
The bonus working and avoiding harm 
Can offer life’s greatest surprise
