From the baby’s first step 
When she’s happy as a lark
To a summertime outing
Running behind her in the park

It’s a beginning adventure 
It will be with her for life
The process of accomplishment 
Pride for parents-man or wife 

With challenges conquered and confidence enhanced
Even with small failures 
She’ll take another chance

She’s going to be persistent 
It’s a valued human trait 
If fear is not a factor 
And the parents make her wait

The pattern is the same 
For the billions on this earth 
For success leads to confidence 
You  get more than money’s worth 

No matter what the task  
Be it physical or mental 
Her future looks real bright
