When making a decision
We have an expected vision
We have to understand
It may not be what’s planned

No matter what the decision
As we travel down life’s road
The result may not be precision
But we still must carry the load

We can look to blame others
For this surprising poor result
But the truth is-if we face it
Would be a pure insult

The reality of maturity
A component very strong
We are responsible for that decision
Be it right or wrong

We love to take the credit
If it turns out really well
But regardless of the way it went
The truth we have to tell

It’s often painful to admit
If it didn’t turn out right
But admission with honesty
Is a vital-admirable sight

We also should remember
When it comes to family
Admitting a mistake that’s made
Reveals their honesty

Yes-being honest should carry much weight
It builds respect- helps to connect
That should be plain to see

All will be proud when you say out loud
“I’ve got a great family”
