Some say that you can do it alone
All you have to do is try
My experience tells me differently 
These are the reasons why

We are basically social beings
Togetherness - one goal 
Most wish to travel through their lives 
With a companion -heart and soul

Connected to one with love and respect 
Gives our life more meaning
To share with each other and protect 
Instead of wishful dreaming 

Speaking not only of family 
But friends and people dear 
To celebrate the good times snd support through the bad
With that  group both far and near

It’s certainly a pleasure when things are going well
But it is a greater treasure if you have someone to tell

If tragedy has struck or other bad luck appears
You have a system with support 
To help you through the tears

A helping hand can ease the pain
It’s wonderful support 
Rather than being stranded 
Like a ship  without a port

However you may travel 
Be it planned or simply fate 
May your journey be a happy one
When you reach that special gate
