Riding the last trainSinging my last refrainIt’s been one hell of a rideNow waiting for fate to decideHoping there are many more stopsWith less downs and more upsThinking ahead while looking backMany miles covered on life’s trackBasically it’s been a great tripWith more of the good wine to sipStill-some of the taste has been bitterStruggling through life’s stormy weatherDo I look back with smile or a tearThinking how did I handle the fearDid l get through pain’s nightsWinning most of those fightsThe proof is the fact I’m still hereDo I count all my scars or look up to the starsTo judge if my life would be betterIf I changed a past planShould have stopped when I ranYou simply cannot change bad weatherOne thing that I’ve learned with experience earnedEven if I could change directionHow do I know by changing the showI would have made a better selectionThe truth is quite clear as my last stop draws nearThat once you’ve made your decisionYou did try your best to deal with life’stestThere’s no point in strong self-derisionI still have the miles to travel in styleAnd take what I’ve done in strideBe proud of my life-my mistakes I don’thideAnd I’ll happily ride toward the sun
