What do you see when you look in the mirror, when it's just you to judge?
Do you see what others think you are?
Do you see what others think you should be?
Do you see what you are told to see?
Or do you see you?

Do you see the you who doesn't feel you are ready to see the truth?
Do you see the you who has been someone else all along?
Do you see the you who may not like what others like?
Or do you see the you who shouldn't want what everybody tells you should want?

Now shut the noise and listen.
What do you hear?
Do you hear voices in your head?
Do you hear voices defining who you are?
Do you hear voices that are not your own?
Do you realise they only see what is on the outside?

What do you do?
Do you let them define you?
Do you want to just be the shell they see?
Do you allow anyone to tell you what you can or can’t dream,  what you should do, what you should choose, who you should be?
Do you feel torn between mixed feelings?
Do you feel like your body, your mind, even your dreams do not belong to you anymore?
Do you feel like they are bearing a stamp of opinions around you?
Do you feel emotionally disabled?
Do you suppress your true self in order to fit in the narrow frames learnt since childhood?
Do you feel that you are wrong, weird or even abnormal if you do not resemble most of the people around you, or if you do not have the same aspirations as they do, or if you want to choose something which anyone hardly thinks about?

If you do....
Do you realise that your real desires and true self are trapped on the other side of the mirror?

If any of the above hits home for you, then I urge you to dig deep within and think things through.

Nobody should tell you what you can or can’t eat, who you can love, how you should look, what you should do or what you should dream.

Your reflection, your soul and body belong to you and only you.

Break the mirror and let your true self come out in all its glory, in all its individuality, in all that is you.

Because when push comes to shove, at the end of the day, it should be your reflection you would want to see and not anyone else's.
