If you haven’t noticed it by now 
Very soon you surely will 
Whether your glass is half empty or half 
full
In life it’s bound to spill

It’s widely known by many names
Call it destiny-call it future-call it fate
It’s life’s unpredictable process 
Good or bad-you don’t have to wait

The pressures of our daily lives 
Direct the way we travel 
We must control the things we can
Or it can all unravel 

Enjoy the good and appreciate 
The great place that you’re in
If there’s a change it may feel strange 
If some cloudy days begin

Equipped with peace and fortitude 
From happiness experienced
Take the clouds in stride when they arrive
And return to good deliverance 

If it was simple we ‘d continually smile 
A fairly tale life it would be
But the real world doesn’t work  that way
By now that’s plain to see

Be prepared for anything and build the life you wish 
One filled with health and happiness 
You can then look back with gratitude 
For the gifts that you can cherish
