I began listening to music in the fortiesRegularly through now and still doI thought I’d be current with the new soundsBut the music ahead of me flewIt’s not that I don’t love musicNext to writing it tops my listBut I’m ingrained to the early two thousandsThe new sounds are something I missedI really appreciate current musicThe singers and sounds tell the taleOf the culture -the new rising talentBut my connection to that is more frailMusic evokes so much pleasureMemories and recall of great timesIn every generation it is the sameThey cherish all the music that they can nameFrom the Big Bands- Folk and RockUsed to sing and dance around theclockJoan Baez- Neil Diamond- The Eagles toname a fewIt is no mystery-it’s part of my personal historyAs each life progresses with ageEach one connects with their stageTransforming the sounds that they playCapturing the events of their dayMusic is the same as writingBoth melodic and excitingDriven by the need to expressTheir creative way to happiness
