Desperation leads to stagnation 
The more you fear the less you move
You stay transfixed in a painful groove
The more you need that you cannot get
You’re locked in cement that’s about to set
You must be thinking”there’s no way out “
You see your demons dance round about
You can’t  be happy stuck where you fear
Open the door - smell the fresh air 
Perhaps you can’t smell it
But you know it’s right there 
Isn’t it time to get off the shelf 
Can you gather strength to help yourself 
Time is just wasting to get a new start 
Rekindle the dream that’s in your hurt heart
