Face Down Read Count : 62

Crawling around in the dirt and muck,

feel like I've been hit by a truck.

The rain of dispair pours to the ground,

life seems to leave me laying face down.

Send the bullet my way,

make my head into a canoe.

 Stomp across my shattered skull

with the your bloody shoe.

Spill my guts out on the floor,

I don't want to do this anymore.

 I can't take it, I can't lie.

 Everyday day I slowly die.

 Staring out an open door,

knowing I can't take much more.

The world collapses from all my thoughts. End of an era and it's all my fault.

I don't know where to go,

 I don't have a freaking clue.

Drown my thoughts in a bottle of brew.

Feeling so numb with cold blank stare,

walking in shadows without any care.

Will this end? I don't know.

Times like this, I wish I were bold.

I had courage, I had faith,

watched it all blow up in my face.

So here I am, the hollow man.

 Just leave me to die,

with my face in the sand.
