  Wren barely remembered her early years. Those carefree times in her childhood and adolescence, when anything seemed possible and dreams were meant to come true. 
  All of that was before her affliction. Sure, she learned of many things that were possible she would never had imagined before. There was no doubt whatsoever concerning that fact. But nightmare explained it much better than a mere dream could.
  She learned a great deal about what is hidden from the average eye, oft times maybe a fleeting glimpse of it, seen from the eye's corner. Then hurriedly dismissed as not seeing clearly, one too many drinks, overactive imagination and many more excuses. For honestly, thought Wren frustratingly, who in their right mind would want to take this shit seriously?
