Trust is not something to be given.
Trust is to be earned.
Trust is not to be given openly.
This is something I have learned.
Trust can get your heart broken.
Promises that someone has spoken.
Protect youself...build a wall.
Promises can always be broken.
So protect your heart and build a wall.
Let only very special people allow it to fall.
Trust should always be earned.
My broken but healing heart has definitely learned.
