I have been beat down...
Beat down relentlessly.
Somedays I think to myself....
I am totally going to drown.

My heart has been shattered.
My soul is a bit tattered.
My scars do not show.
My scars are deep within my tattered soul.

I know nobody can tell,
But I am a little damaged.
I know I am somewhat hard to handle,
But my brokenness can be managed.

I am really only a little broken.
The pain I feel goes mostly unspoken.
I know I can continue to heal.
Slowly but surely change the way I feel.
