An Evening Symphony

The crickets are chirping their melancholy tune. Hung in the sky, is a sliver of the moon. The birds have found their nests, tweeting goodnights from downcovered chests. The red-orange hue of the setting sun, recedes from deep blues and purples that come. As the Earth rotates on its axis, I listen to an evening symphony, that's taken eons to practice. As the heat from the day begins to cool down, I simply listen to Nature's sound. Calming and peaceful, the sun says goodbye. The sky is covered by the blanket of night. As I retire inside with company, the stars peek out to hear the evening symphony.
