A shining star that’s what you are
You brighten up my day 
Your infectious glow restored my life
In every single way

You were there in happy times
To celebrate with me 
My gratitude for your support 
Enhanced my victories 

In times of stress and tragedy 
You kept me all together 
Without you loving-caring heart
Id be crushed by brutal weather 

I see you in all that’s good 
You lighten up the sky
When you were in your human form
I never thought you’d die

If you were here to comfort me 
You’d quell that foolish notion
“I will be with you for Eternity “
Our love could fill the ocean

The pain remains but I made my peace 
With the reality you taught me 
You’re still alive in other ways 
When your STAR in the sky shines on me
