Since birth,
I’ve been afraid of addiction.
Drugs flowed through my veins
From my family’s afflictions.
Once,
My best friend at the time,
Offered me marijuana
And seeing my father’s drama,
I refused and went on my ignorant little way.
Back then,
I grew accustom
to sobriety
And being young and dumb.
Until I tasted a woman’s sweet waters
And found paradise.
I've been addicted ever since.
