Her Lullaby

She sings a bittersweet lullaby,
Dripped in mystique topped with mystery.
A poetic trance to say goodbye,
fading to that place, where broken hearts are a victory.

Muse ones pain,
with memories of the dance.
lost in the symphonic rain,
dreamer of chance.

Echoes through whispering pines,
chant remember the dance.
forget this world and you shall find,
Her lullaby called The chance.

  • although I can understand those who say it has no effect, I stand firmly with my reasons for writing in the first place. I do so because I enjoy it, because it helps ease my panic attacks from PTSD. i Enjoy the flowing of elegant language that paints a picture for me. Sounds selfish but if a writer or poet can't enjoy what they write it's just empty crafted words on paper. Thanks for all the wonderful compliments. ~ Dell Anne Raye

Amazing but agreeing with Sophia, it doesn't craft my heart in stregnth or weakness. It contains no effect. Thank you for sharing.

  • Nice work and smooth, but it has at least one cliche which is ok since you are writing for your well being
