If my eyes could show you what it is that I hold back,
I swear to all of you, they would turn coal black.
If my heart could show you what love I have left,
It would beat its last beat, as i take my last breath.
If my shoulders could show you how strong I had become,
They would be crushed under the weight of pleasing everyone.
If my chest could show you what's worth fighting for,
You would bear witness to every gash and battle scar.
If my legs would take me to where I felt home,
They would walk across this great land, forever free to roam.
If these hands could build a better tomorrow,
For my children, it would be the brightest ever known.
