When Peril Knocks Read Count : 136

with dry throats, heavy hearts and empty stomacks
peril knocks and breaths its usual
from perils mouth betrayal, failure and death
from perils mouth the watters flow
gushing out so clean and cold and fresh

wirh dropping spirits we have a choice to make
either to take the run
or have a drink
the run, a permanent journey to thirst
a journey to death.

in troubled times
when love is unkind
when life seem tough and cruel and wicked
we must take a stand
face our peril,
accept our iniquity
so we could drink from the wisdom of difficulty.
