The light filters through the blinds
Another morning begins as the sun’s glowing warmth beckons me to approach a new day 
How many days have started this
beautifully and ended with the moon’s
gentle good night kiss
How many days interrupted by fate’s hand have cast a cloud of tragedy  on nature’s promise
Unpredictability is part of life’s tapestry 
But one should not rise each day anticipating impending doom
rather than the optimism that a new  day deserves
The human condition is not perfect nor are we people who inhabit it
We have been gifted with the tools of life and survival and the challenge to utilize them for good deeds-support- protection- sympathy- empathy and understanding 
For many life’s struggles compromise
these issues upsetting a harmonious 
balance 
These are my thoughts as I start out-basking in the warmth of contentment 
The years have taught me to manage
the issues I can control and store my
experiences for the rest 
Now I set off on a day of writing - relaxing and enjoying 

Come what may
It is a new day
