When the dust settles and the town clears
I want to know if you'll be near so I can appear.
you take away my fears, your shoulders swallow my tears.
I just need you here at home.

When the last leaf drops and we take our love to the next stop.
I want the love while it's hot but I'll still take it if its not.
I want to take your pain away and make the rain go away so our kids can go out and play
I just want you to stay at home.

When we are mad at each other and can't sleep under the same covers.
you are a great mother while being a great lover.
I don't want to smother but I don't want another.
my son needs a baby brother at home.

When we dial it down a bit, you are a different shape but still fit.
For you I flip, kick and take no shit.
You are my shooting star
come be who you are at home.
