The Pain Learned How To Swim Read Count : 123

Category : Poems

Months of havoc flew by
my mind left far from rest
my memory tainted as I forgot
what I was like as my best

Depicted as a world of silence
but also a world of  hell
My mind was my mortal enemy
yet to everyone I seemed well

everyone i knew bloomed above me
as i lay like a sprout in the soil
nothing to lose, nothing to gain
nothing to ruin or spoil

I felt like nothing but the dirt under our feet
swept under the carpet of life
submerged under a hefty layer
that defeated all my strife

I tried to kill it, kill my pain
as it was just tok grim
no matter how i tried to drown it
it just learned how to swim...
swept under the carpet of life;
submerged under a hefty layer
