Dare I say,
I'm in my own way.

I fill my head,
With thoughts of dread.

I wish they would end,
They all seem to blend.

The scars start to show,
The pain below.

But I must be,
What they need me to be.

A happy little Jester,
A toy, a monster.

But I can't leave,
I have a few tricks up my sleeve.

Now I must stay,
In my own way,
Until I'm ready,
Until I'm steady.
