                                                ~Blazing Snow~
                                                   ~Prologue~

 The two orphans sat alone, cold and afraid in the old orphanage, with no one to love or to run to. They were afraid, and that would never change. They huddled together, trying to warm up from the cold rain that poured inside from the leaking window. They were starving, barely haven eaten anything in the past few days. Their stomachs were so empty, it felt like they hadn't eaten a single day of their lives.
 Suddenly, the old, creaky wooden door opened slowly, revealing two adults, a woman and man. Married, of course. They walked inside the orphanage, their footsteps echoing in the empty building. The two orphans whimpered in fear, not knowing that the people didn't want to hurt them. The man and woman walked up to them, kneeling down in front of them. The woman picked them up, cradling them in her warm embrace.
 "They're beautiful," the man said, looking over at the two young children. Then, opening the old door once again, they walked out, carrying the two sleeping orphans, that they would love for as long as they had time to. But sadly, they did not know that that time would be shorter than they had thought.
