There are days
It seems I can’t take anymore
I’ll just let the boulder overtake me.
It seems to grow and become heavier, the farther I go.
But no, I can’t give up
I’ve pushed this damn thing too far
I will not fall under its weight.
But I am weary and lonely and I crave rest with a welcoming shoulder.
But there is none.
I look and everyone is pushing their own boulder or falling to the depths.
A seductive escape calls to weary souls, but there is a trap to spring within.
I must remain focused, but the focus is hard to keep when my tears blur my eyes.
I keep pushing and pushing
One day I may feel relief
Someday
