Will I have enough breath

To exhale the whole length

Of this road lying ahead

Asphalt mirage never ends

Mad crickets laugh

Their breath shapes the sound

Of my own long regrets

Stretching from sunrise to sundown

The mountains look near

But I’m never there yet

What a sad July day

Burnt out by expectations

Self combustion

By means of excessive restraint

I’ve just enough breath

To go up in flames
