Fourth of July Mountain fun with a mountain girl. First I would like to say I am thankful for America and also would like to send Thank Yous to all the men and women who have fought over the years so that we have our freedom. 
     Fourth of July is extremely important week to me. Not only is it my daughters birthday who passed away in 2009 but it is also my sons birthday.  He turns 8 on the 5th. Happy Birthday wishes goes out to both my babies. From experience though trying to have a birthday party on 4th of July weekend is just a lost cause. Everyone has plans and all the places to have parties are already packed. Living in the mountains my favorite place to have a party has to be the lake. You can swim and fish. The exciting thing about my son having a fourth of July birthday is that he feels like everyone is celebrating his birthday.  Even in the 5th you can hear fireworks all around us so of course my son thinks they are being shot off for his birthday. 
     It's my baby husky Mikahs first fourth of July. She is 13 weeks old so I definately have to update about she does with the fireworks. Huskys are the funniest dogs I have ever had. 
     Another amazing thing about the fourth is everyone getting together for the fourth of July pic nic. Grilling out hot dogs and hamburgers. Playing corn hole. If you have never played corn hole you are missing out. That is the most addictive game there ever was. Then of course there is that 1 person who is so drunk that they can barely stand playing the game which always keep it interesting. Each year we also shoot off some fireworks. Last year though one fell over and shot towards my 12 year old daughter. Yeah she actually swallowed some of the debris from it. Not funny at all at the time but now we laugh about her trying to eat the fireworks. You always have that one person who walks out and holler at you because they decided to gonti bed early. Party pooper lol. 
      Also a small town near us has a huge event where they have vendors set up and shoot huge fireworks when it gets dark. There is thousands of people there, a band, lots of food and fun fun fun. It is the best ever!!!!
