An argument is all it takes
To break the perfect friendship
To break the precious bond
Between the best of friends

A friend is like gold
But friendship is like a diamond
Nor money or fame, can buy
Anything greater than that

Once an argument takes place
We say things that we regret
The friends look each other in the eye
And turns away, the friendship is lost

Both the friends try to reach out
Desperate for a shoulder to cry on
But then they are reminded of that moment
They change their minds in hatred

One thing that is best to remember
Is that broken hearts can be mended
And so can broken friendships
With just a simple word, "Sorry"

Sorry is the only word that makes a difference
It makes one to forget the hatred and anger
An apology is all that it takes 
To bring back what once was lost
